🔒 Zero-Telemetry Architecture • GDPR & CCPA Compliant

Privacy Policy

Last Updated: March 2026 • Watt Calculator Inc. operates on a foundational principle: calculation tools must never spy on engineering activities.

1. Zero-Telemetry Calculation Architecture

Client Memory Sandbox Isolation 0 BYTES TRANSMITTED
Browser DOM
User Inputs (V, A, W, Ω)
V8 Local Memory
Closed-Form Math Eval
Immediate Render
Local Output (0ms Ping)

All electrical computations — including power, current, voltage, resistance, room sizing, and energy estimates — are processed entirely within your client browser using vanilla JavaScript. Numerical inputs and calculation results are never transmitted to our servers, logged to analytics platforms, or stored remotely. Calculations function 100% offline once the page has loaded.

2. Information We Collect

We collect only information voluntarily submitted through our Contact Support form (name, email, subject, message). Standard server access logs (IP address, user agent) are retained for 14 days solely for security monitoring and DDoS defense, after which they are automatically purged.

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade user contact details with third-party advertising networks, data brokers, or commercial aggregators.

3. Local Storage & Cookie Audit

Watt Calculator uses zero third-party advertising cookies, zero tracking beacons, and zero cross-site analytics scripts. We utilize standard browser localStorage strictly for essential user preferences: 'wattcalculator-theme' (light/dark mode) and 'preferred_lang' (language preference). No sensitive engineering parameters or identifiers are stored.

Storage KeyStorage TypeLifespanPurpose
wattcalculator-theme Browser localStorage Persistent (until cleared) Stores your preferred color scheme (dark or light mode) to prevent visual screen flash.
preferred_lang Browser localStorage Persistent (until cleared) Stores your active language preference (e.g. en, es, hi) for seamless localized browsing.

You may clear these keys at any time via your web browser's storage settings without degrading calculator functionality.

4. GDPR & CCPA Compliance

Under European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) Articles 15–22 and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), users possess the right to access, rectify, or erase any personal data submitted via contact forms. Watt Calculator never sells, rents, or monetizes personal data. To exercise privacy rights, contact privacy@wattcalculator.org.

5. Data Security & Encryption

All network traffic is enforced via modern Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3) with HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) and Content Security Policy (CSP) headers to safeguard transmission integrity.

6. Contacting the Data Protection Officer
